Our Story
Our passion for coffee started many years ago on a cold winter bus trip in Peru, being served a deliciously warm, rich “Cafécito”.
After that our blue enamel camping coffee percolator, followed by our Aeropress and manual coffee grinder seem to accompany us wherever we go. A cup of coffee has a way of making time stand still.
Growing, roasting and brewing coffee for us, encompasses all that is warmth, friendship and sharing.
Now finally, we are establishing an Organically grown micro-lot of specialty coffee on our small organic farm in White River, South Africa, adhering to all the principles that Nature shows us every day.
It is with this passion that we began roasting coffee from different origins to understand the impact farming methods and the terrain can have on the specific flavour notes.

Our coffee beans have been scored according to international standards and our goal is to roast specific varietals so that their unique flavours are enjoyed.
As the global production of Caffea arabica is one of the least genetically diverse crop species in the world, coffee gene banks are therefore critical to preserve and protect the coffee plant genetics.
Currently, many trees are being lost due to extreme weather conditions and deforestation, thus threatening the loss of genetic traits that may resist the pressures of climate change and unique, yet unknown, health benefits.
